Developer Blue Living has now submitted a formal planning application to West Berkshire Council to build 750 homes and significant commercial space on the Pincents Hill site. The deadline for submission of objections to West Berkshire Council is 18 September.

Alok Sharma, the Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman for Reading West, commented: “I am, together with local councillors Joe Mooney, Tony Linden and Emma Webster, completely opposed to this application. Standing together with our local residents and the Save Calcot Action Group we intend to fight this application all the way."
