The Reading West constituency embraces parts of two local unitary authorities: Reading Borough and West Berkshire.

The Reading Borough wards are: Battle, Kentwood, Minster, Norcot, Southcote, Tilehurst and Whitley.

The West Berkshire wards are: Birch Copse, Calcot, Pangbourne, Purley, Theale and Westwood.

The Reading West constituency is bounded by the constituencies of Newbury, Henley, Wokingham and Reading East.

There are approximately 74,000 voters across the constituency.
