Alok Sharma, the Member of Parliament for Reading West, on Friday 24th March opened the brand new Vets4Pets veterinary surgery located inside the Pets at Home store in Reading Retail Park on the Oxford Road.
Alok met the veterinary care team, as well as pets visiting the surgery, and had a look around the surgery’s facilities. The new surgery includes modern operating facilities, digital X-ray equipment and a comprehensive laboratory.
Following the official ribbon cut, activities will continue across the weekend including a face painter to entertain young visitors.
Alok Sharma said: “I was delighted to open the newest Vets4Pets practice and wish the team all the best for the future. I was thrilled to be invited to open the first Reading Companion Care surgery in 2012 and it is great to see this business continue to expand in the local area.”
Veterinary surgeon Hassan Salamian, who is a part-owner of the Reading business together with Companion Care Reading, said: “We are honoured that Mr Sharma was able to take the time to attend today, and cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening of Vets4Pets Tilehurst, having also attended the opening of our Companion Care Reading surgery too. We are pleased to be able to open another practice, and would like to thank all of our clients for their continued interest in, and support of the new surgery and we look forward to getting to know you all.”
