Park Lane Primary visit Parliament

Alok Sharma, Member of Parliament for Reading West hosted Park Lane Primary on their visit to Parliament on Friday 9th February.

Alok was delighted to meet with the pupils from years four, five and six. They enjoyed a tour of the Palace of Westminster and learnt of its long and fascinating history.

The pupils were very excited to meet with Alok and have the opportunity to ask him questions about his role as Member of Parliament for Reading West and Minister of State for Employment.

Alok asked the group about their tour and what they had found most interesting. Alok was delighted to hear that all of the pupils had learnt something new from the visit and were all so engaged.

Alok Sharma said: “I was delighted to meet with the pupils and staff from Park Lane Primary School. It was fantastic to see how engaged the pupils were with current affairs and how much they had learnt from their tour of Parliament.”

Miss C Roberts, teacher at Park Lane Primary said: “The whole trip was fascinating and thought-provoking; the children got so much from it - not to mention the adults!”
