Save our local Post Offices

Fighting Labour's Post Office Cuts
Alok Sharma and local Conservative councillors organised and delivered to 10 Downing Street a petition signed by hundreds of people across West Berkshire and Reading calling on the Labour Government to reconsider its plans to close local post offices.
Alok said: "Local post offices play a vital role in the local community and are an essential life line for many, especially the elderly. I am pleased that our community wide petition helped to save some local post offices but unfortunately, agains the wishes of local people, Labour still decided to close Lower Tilehurst and Wantage Road post offices."
Reading West's Labour MP voted against a Conservative Parliamentary motion which would have suspended the closure programme - some Labour MPs did support the Cosnervative motion.
